Niall de Búrca is one of Ireland’s finest traditional storytellers. He was raised in Galway and displayed a talent for narrative from a young age. At home he has featured in theatre, radio and at many festivals including Féile Earraai, the CS Lewis Festival, and The National Children’s Book Festival. Abroad he has performed and held workshops in countries as diverse as Poland, Argentina, Italy and The Netherlands.
Neil McCarthy studied English Literature at the National University of Ireland in Galway and began writing poetry whilst studying. His work has since been widely published in literary journals and anthologies. In 2005 he was short listed for Firewords Literary Award in Ireland. Neil McCarthy ist he author of two collection of poetry, Naked in Vienna (Maverick 2007) and Seven Cities (Galway Print 2008). He has presented his work across Ireland and abroad.
